Perhaps one of the more emotional trips the watch has been on, it was worn by Dom O'Sullivan as he competed in the Great North Run 2018. Poignant for two reasons. Firstly, Matt came in a solid last in the 2017 race. Having walked it on one leg, he captured the public's heart and was hailed the real winner by all - even the fist past the post Mo Farah!
Secondly, Matt was Dominic's cousin. He was keen to be involved in the project and this was the perfect opportunity.
In Dom's own words:
"I was honoured to take this magnificent watch and everything it represents on the most famous half marathon in the world. Running in tribute to the memory of my cousin Matt Hadden who inspired and continues to inspire so many people whether they knew him as closely as we did, or who had simply heard of his inspiring story throughout his battle with Cancer. Time truly is our most sacred commodity and this wonderful project should emphasise this to us all"
